Serious Feather's founder and editor, Brett Gregory, is also a multi-award winning and critically acclaimed independent film director, screenwriter, editor, and producer who, due to a combustible amalgamation of personal, political and philosophical injuries and convictions, has been self-funding his unique productions ever since 2005.
Primarily, this is because he believes the arts and entertainment industries in the UK are predominantly bourgeois and banal, financially-focused and facetious, incestuous, irresponsible, damaging, and ultimately destructive in their continued ignorance of the original voices or oppositional visions which exist outside of their own unfair, undemocratic, self-serving definition of 'culture'.
Brett's selected filmography below includes the trailer for his latest short film adaptation of Franz Kafka's 'Before the Law' (2024), his acclaimed working-class debut feature film, 'Nobody Loves You and You Don't Deserve to Exist' (2022), as well as The Beyond Trilogy of music documentaries which explore the independent cultural landscapes of 'Iceland: Beyond Sigur Ros' (2010), 'Manchester: Beyond Oasis' (2012), and 'Liverpool: Beyond The Beatles' (2015) in the early 21st century.
