Creative Director

Brett is a highly regarded independent screenwriter, director and producer in the North-West who has had success with MTV2 and Future Shorts Manchester.He has also been lecturing in Film, Media and Cultural Studies at Trafford College for 5 years.

With a B.A. (Hons) in Film, Television and Literature, an M.A. in Film and Literary Narrative and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education, he specialises in the following formats and genres: music video, social realism, documentary, gangster, horror, psychological thrillers, the musical and film/media education programmes.

As well as various entertainment promos and educational projects, previous productions have included the short films My First Winter (2006), Hit The North (2007), The Maple State’s music video ‘Temperate Lives’ (2008), Tunnel Monkeys (2008), Night of the Living Doll (2008) and Crown Jewelz’s music video ‘Think Twice’ (2009).

Nic Jackson
Technical Director

Coming from a family of highly successful media professionals, Nic is a dynamic and experienced camera operator who is fluent in a wide-range of contemporary production kit. As well as shooting for Serious Feather, he has worked on many freelance productions for clients such as the BBC, McDonald’s & LG. Always eager to diversify and develop his technical skills, Nic is currently specialising in Steadicam operation.

Ann-Marie Lawrence
Production Co-ordinator

Building on her experience of working for a number of highly respected legal and property firms based in Cheshire, Ann-Marie has dedicated herself over the last two years to successfully managing and developing Serious Feather’s ever-growing client- and personnel-base. Of particular note is the months of work she committed to promoting the video production of Crown Jewelz’s ‘Think Twice’ throughout the UK, and which resulted in her receiving individual recognition in the Houses of Parliament.

Alistair Topping
Music Manager

Down-to-earth, approachable and attentive Alistair has been a part of Manchester’s independent creative industry for over 7 years, performing music at The Roadhouse when he was only 15 before going on to then play at Manchester Academy when he was 17. Having travelled extensively throughout South America he is resourceful, hard-working, supportive and keen to experience and overcome all of the particular challenges each and every video project presents.

Jehan Kazi BSc
Head Sound Designer

As one of Manchester’s most dynamic and exciting post-production audio engineers and sound designers, Jey has interned at Buffalo’s, NY, famous InnerMachine Studios, home to, among others, the indie-rock group The Goo Goo Dolls. Energetic and inventive, his expertise lies in Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Soundtrack Pro and Ableton Live and, as a result, he is committed to reproducing and elevating audio recordings and soundtracks to the highest level.

Luciano Molina Batchelor BSc
Editor

Passionate, disciplined and focused Luc has been working in the independent media industry for over 5 years now and, as a result, is one of Manchester’s most resourceful and dynamic young editors around. Versed in Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects and DVD Studio Pro, he also a competent camera operator with an ongoing developing interest in new media technologies.
